Diwali

Growing up in Kenya (we have a sizeable Indian community there), Diwali was something I looked forward to for the beautiful lights that came with it and glorious fireworks displays. So you best believe that when a friend invited me and a couple of friends to celebrate Diwali with her, I was elated!

I learnt A LOT about Diwali: the offering of food amongst clean Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, praying/ performing the Aarti  before taking the lights and lanterns out, beautiful Rangoli and of course, DELIGHTFUL FOOD!

JUST FEAST YOUR EYES ON THE PICTURES! 🙂
