One for the road-Tanzania

The beauty of having friends from around the world is that you have a place to stay and someone to show you around when you visit their home-countries. I’ve made good use of my Namibian friends already (I’m looking at you, Helga and Joan), and this year I went to Tanzania and had two precious friends host me and show me around. My European friends had better start preparing, because an extensive Euro tour needs to happen this year.

Tanzania was amazing, to say the least. It is a beautiful country with such friendly people. I spent 8 days there and I think I got to squeeze in quite a bit in that tight period. My friend Sian and I travelled entirely by bus. It was good on one hand, because we got to see much of the country. But it was also exhausting, and I will not be doing it again. Tanzania is a MASSIVE country and it takes a gazillion hours to get pretty much anywhere by road.

If there’s one thing that this trip taught me, it is that it is extremely difficult to take pictures when you’re moving at 100kph. Who knew, right?! 😀 There were so many lovely things to capture, but it is practically impossible to set up your camera for an ideal photograph when you’re moving that fast. But here are a few pictures I got while on the road around Tanzania.
