Dinner at Jiko, Nairobi

Will you stick around as I publish a few 2014 posts before we get to the 2015 ones?

So, last December, my cousin’s friend (who happens to be my friend too) threw him a surprise birthday dinner at the Jiko restaurant at The Tribe Hotel. It was an evening of gorgeous people, wine, good food and hearty laughs. And the birthday boy was as surprised as they come! 🙂

IMG_4307 I wasn’t feeling particularly dressy so I kept it simple and threw on a faux-fur jacket for some added pizzazz. For a top, I wore a blue dress with lace detail tucked into black jeans, paired with nude court pumps. Accessories were bead earrings, a few midi rings, a watch and a black leather bag. Wore my hair in a low sleek bun with a centre part.

Outfit Details (sorry I didn’t take a proper outfit pic)

Faux Fur Jacket: Triple Seven SA
Earrings: Kazuri KE
Black Jeans: Cotton On SA
Court Pumps: Random store in Cape Town

The food was spectacular in every way: presentation and flavour-wise. I wish I could post pictures of all the food, but that would be 15+ pictures of food, not very practical to post hey.

The ambiance was chic and service was good. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a nice sophisticated dinner in Nairobi.

Xx
