My apologies for disappearing from the blog. Somewhere in between exams and preparation for my flight home, the blog took a back seat. You all understand, right? 🙂
This past weekend, I visited the Oranjezicht City Farm Organic Market in Cape Town with a couple of friends. I’d never been there, so when my friend Wendy suggested it, I was pretty excited!
The OZCF market is organic paradise. From homemade pesto, to vegan brownies, to sugar free muffins, to homegrown turnips; BLISS. The market is situated on the Oranjezicht City Farm. Market day is every Saturday from 9am to 2pm. It is great for people that want to support sustainable food and farming. Everyday foodstuff like organic bread, free range eggs, honey, dairy, fruit and vegetables are available on sale; as well as decadent treats. Oh, even seedlings and compost!
There were tonnes of stalls with all kinds of food, sweet and savoury, vegan or not. Something for every palate, really. I had spinach roulades, a nutella crepe, raw chocolate balls, potato samosas, apple pie and chocolate-ginger cake. Yes, no cares were given for calories that day!
This market is the perfect blend of sinful and healthy. Not going to give a review, just some pictures.

Have a lovely week friends!
