My boyfriend got me a Wellness Warehouse gift card for my birthday, and I must say it was perfect. I am quite obsessed with all things health and natural. I’ve been reading up a lot on cruelty free and organic beauty products and this store is everything in that regard. I managed to get myself a couple of cool products that I’ll be giving my opinion on.
Kalahari Melon Body Wash
This body wash is amazing. It has a very subtle natural scent that’s a blend of citrus and herbal. I love it. I am not sure what Kalahari Melon’s properties are, but I like it already. This wash is silky, gentle and highly moisturising. It is suitable for sensitive skin.
The down side is that the wash does not lather very much. This could be because its ingredients are natural and no artificial lathering agents are used. So I’ll take it.
Another plus is that this product is locally made. Always a win.

African Extracts Rooibos Deep Cleansing Mask.
Honestly, It is hard for anything ‘rooibos’ to go wrong. This is hands down my favourite product at the moment. It smells DIVINE! I want to eat my face up whenever I use it. I use it once a fortnight; I alternate it with my Simple face mask.
I am not even kidding when I say that you can see the difference immediately after use. It dries into a clay-like finish. It unclogs pores leaving my face feeling very fresh and looking undeniably more radiant. Go buy it NOW. You will not be disappointed, I promise you.

Vanilla Variety Vapour Essence
I’m very much into aromatherapy. I love playing around with scents and burning oils. This vanilla extract is currently doing it for me. It is quite pricey for 12ml, but what can I say, essential oils are expensive. I use my aromatherapy burner and mix about 5-10 drops of the oil in water on the burner and it emanates a warm vanilla scent.

Good Earth Body Butter
These were gifted to me at the beginning of the year. My favourite of the three is the Mango Seed Oil body butter. Heaven smells like this Mango Seed Oil butter. The Shea Butter is also quite nice and I haven’t opened the Almond Milk one yet.
These body butters are very rich and can feel a bit heavy on the skin so I use them to moisturise my hands and extremely dry areas like my elbows.

Czarina Forest Rain Room Mist
This spray nozzle is everything. It sprays a fine and even mist. I spray my room with this every so often, particularly on my bed and curtains. It smells a bit masculine and mature, not quite the ‘rain forest’ I’d imagined, but it works. If you are into sweet floral/fruity scents, this is not for you. I personally really like it.
This product does not give a list of its organic ingredients (if any), which makes me a bit suspicious, but it smells good, so I will let that slide.

Strawberry Hand Cream and Citrus Foot Cream
Here is a list of some of the organic ingredients of these two products: Aloe Leaf Juice, Aqua, Olive Fruit Oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil, Beeswax.
Here is what I expected my hands and feet to smell like: A field of roses, angel’s breath, honey, sugar, spice and everything nice.
Here is what my hands and feet smelled like: Petrolatum.
DO NOT buy this product. It smells like it was formulated in a high school chemistry lab. It is extremely light and the oils and water separate. Nothing about it smells natural. It was a bad buy. No wonder they had no testers for it.

Anyone else into organic beauty products? Any that you would recommend? Any that I should stay away from?
PS: I have made some really cool people from all over the world in the blogosphere. I love how blogging connects people. I would never throw that away. Sophia Musoki of Rare Beauty blog featured me on her Living Out Loud (LOL) series. Thanks Sophia! 🙂 Head over to her blog and see the feature as well as other cool posts.
Love, Love, Love to you all!
I love Wellness Warehouse products. It’s one of those stores I used to get so excited to be in, then I’d remember the shallowness of my pockets and snap back to reality. A virtual pat on the back for the boyfriend!
